ALTITUDE

The elevated freshness of the SiurAltas allow – with non-interventionist winemaking – to work naturally, without adding any sulfites or other chemical substances. Deep wines, rich in spices, delicate and different to most references that our oenological memory can treasure. Wines in which acidity becomes the backbone, substituting the traditional tannic structure. Pure, artisan wines, very close to their origins. Altitude wines, with ability to age.

Vins Nus are based on a biodynamic agricultural practice, surrounded by an active microfauna in a semi-wild environment. The vineyards are always located in the limits, at altitudes over 700m (2300ft).

 

 

Spontaneous fermentations, restful, whole cluster and stem macerations… and aging options that are very respectful, combining small stainless tanks with “gres” amphoras of diverse formats, and – only in specific occasions –  old foudres. Shifting between containers as if it were a gentle culinary exercise. Respect as the main rule to conserve authenticity.

DREAMINGWAKE

While discovering the vineyards in the northern limit of the region -Cornudella del Montsant – the dream awakes. The Montsant Natural Park combined all the characteristics that were capable of combatting the incidence of global warming in this austere terroir. It brings an additional richness: the double condition in its soils in each side of the valley: Calcareous in the West – around Sant Joan del Codolar hermitage – and a combination of clay and slate (licorella) on the East along the foothills of the Gritella Mountain Range.
